Why can't I search for an opportunity here and elsewhere and apply directly?

You most certainly can. For many of the opportunities posted on this site, or on other sites by CleanTech Human Capital, we are managing the entire recruitment process, so you will be referred to us and we will screen applicants through an interview process to present to the hiring manager a selected group of candidates that fit manager's expectations.

What is the application process?

1. You, as the candidate, apply to the position through our system (occasionally based on the skill sets and experience required CleanTech Human Capital will approach potential candidates and gauge their interest and encourage them to apply).
2. CleanTech Human Capital will conduct an initial screening of resumes and cover letters and select the most qualified for a phone interview conducted when it is convenient for you; this interview typically lasts between 15 and 30 minutes.
3. If your interest level is high, your skill set is appropriate, your availability is conducive and your personality is a fit for the role we will begin to organize subsequent personal interviews, initially with us and then with the hiring manager.
4. Once there is a match, the company will hire you and the relationship is between you and the employer.

Will I be spammed with emails soliciting Jobs or unwanted information?

No. We respect your privacy, and realize that there are blogs and other news sites that offer extensive information. This website provides some leads for registered members on the site. You will only be contacted by email if there is an opportunity that matches you skill set and your reported interests.

Will Jobs be searchable on this site?

Yes. Jobs for which CleanTech Human Capital is actively searching will be posted. Occasionally you will be directed to apply on the hiring company's website. The benefits of being registered is that CleanTech Human Capital will provide a selection of "short listed" candidates that will be examined at more closely by the hiring company.

Why is there a specific section for military personnel?

The founder of CleanTech Human Capital is a former serviceman who intends to help military personnel transition into their civilian careers. The ethos of teamwork instilled in military personnel is extremely noticeable, and the camaraderie of participating in a shared goal is something employers seek. Furthermore, the training that certain military occupational specialties provide is directly applicable to the CleanTech space - specifically those servicemen and women that have worked as electricians, engineers, machinists, welders, heavy equipment operators, and in bulk water and fuel specialties. Officers and non-commissioned officers in these specialties have the leadership exposure needed for serving as field engineers and foremen.

Lastly, this company has made a pledge to assist veterans in their transition - both through services and by financially supporting nonprofit institutions that do the same.

I am not currently working in a role that is in the "green economy," is there any value to registering?

Absolutely, your experiences are valuable, and as this is a burgeoning sector your perspective coming from established industries will be extremely beneficial for the company that hires you and the sector in general.
